Early Treatment Involves Knowing the Symptoms and Signs of Cancer

Diagnosing cancer in its early stages is important for a successful treatment. Knowing what your body is like in its normal state will make it easier to discover any possible problems so you can tell your doctor in its earliest stages. Changes that you may notice can be linked to the early stages of a cancer.

Knowing your body well will help you notice any unusual lumps in your body should be reported. There probably will not be pain involved with lumps that are from cancer. Most lumps that do appear really are not connected to cancer but having them checked when they appear is the safest way to handle this.

A nagging cough and breathlessness or hoarseness can be caused by many things like infections and inflammations but sometimes it is due to lung cancer. Having these problems last for more than two weeks is an indication that there could be a real problem and it is best to report this to your doctor and have it diagnosed. You should always contact your physician if you have any cancer stages or symptoms of colon cancer.

Changes in your bowel movements like blood in the stool, the stool is red in color or unusually dark can be indications of bowel cancer and should be reported. Bleeding that happens without a known cause is a signal that something is very wrong and it must be seen by your physician. Nose bleeds and bruises can be alarming but are usually not cancer related but it is still best to report them. Always consult a medical professional if you have bladder cancer symptoms.

Having moles does not equal having cancer but there is always a danger so it should be reported.  If you are losing weight and do not know why it is best to have a consultation with your health care professional to be sure it is not cancer related. If you have any concerns about something that is happening with your body that is out of the norm, run and don’t walk to your health care professional. Keep in mind that the greatest chance you will have to have successful treatment if you do have cancer is to get help as early as possible.
