  1. Use the “Lawyer Search” to find an attorney from over one million lawyers and law firms in their online database.
  2. Under the “Lawyer/Law Firm or Area of Law” search field type in ‘bankruptcy’.
  3. Type your city under the “City” input box and select your state.
  4. Don’t forget to change the country to “United States”.
  5. Click the “GO” button and you should have your result of bankruptcy attorneys.
  6. If the results are too little, then you can widen your search criteria by removing the city on the search field. You can also use the adjacent cities near you. Make sure that you select attorneys or law firms that handle consumer bankruptcy.

Use Yahoo! Local located in local.yahoo.com

  1. Type the search phrase “cheap bankruptcy attorneys” in the first search field.
  2. Then type your location on the second field and click the “Search” button or press “Enter”.
  3. Yahoo! will now show you a result of attorneys that matches your search query.
  4. You will also see a map with markers on it. Click any of the marker and you will see the actual address, web site address, and phone number. You can also perform the above method using Google Maps located in maps.google.com

  4. Click the “Search” button. It should give you a location map with markers and a list of lawyers and law firms that are inside the area coverage that you selected.
  5. If the list is too big, you can narrow down the results by selecting a smaller coverage area under the “Location (within)” label, for example 5 miles.
